Christopher A. Holland

Professional Skills: 25 years of experience in owning and running a small hi-tech ceramics manufacturing corporation with emphasis on producing low volume, precision cylindrical components and ceramic tooling. Vast knowledge of grinding technology and a proven track record of problem solving in the manufacture of close tolerance, precision cylindrical components. Master journeyman machinist and veteran ceramicist. Expertise in ceramic process science technology to produce high quality, small grain, high density materials via isostatic pressing.

Key accomplishments include:

– Developed new machining process to produce high precision cylindrical geometries of exacting tolerance and free of machining marks

– Developed unique tooling method for the centerless grinding of micro components (awarded exclusive D.O.E. contract via Fermi Lab)

– Developed process to produce “wave” bearing profile geometry in fluid film (air) bearings for NASA , D.O.E. and D.O.D applications

– Produced air bearings for use on International Space Station

– Extensive NASA, Department of Energy, and Government Lab portfolio of work

– Produced ceramic trigger prototypes for nuclear warhead that no other company in the United States was able to produce for Los Alamos Nuclear Weapons Lab

– Strong expertise with Unison Ded-Tru centerless grinding technology

– Developed unique, low cost tooling method for the isostatic pressing of round billets

– 20+ year history and expertise in the fields of battery tooling and powder compaction tooling.
